The new winter season has begun in Jahurina and this mountain is already recording great results and lots of interest from both recreational and professional skiers.

Last week, four FIS Cups were held in Zahorina from 11 to 16 December. Famous Olympic skier Emiliza Durovich trained on the mountain at the same time.

Jahorina was the first person in the region to successfully organize a competition in the slalom discipline for skiers from around the world. Zahorina hosts skiers from the national team and from distant lands like Hong Kong, Morocco, India, Jamaica, Ghana, but also competes in the Olympic teams of Greece, Macedonia and Serbia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovenia, Slovenia Cyprus.

Significant results were also achieved by skiers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Marco Schlzevich and Emir Lokmich were different, with Esma Alik achieving the most notable results in the women’s category. Ski Club Zahorina is the technical organizer of the competition with the help of Olympic Center Zahorina, Tarmaga, Infinel Consulting and Electropriver.

All four FIS Cups have been rated as highly successful by technical representatives and the mountain is ready to welcome competitors for the new race scheduled for January. The two “Jahorina” FIS Cups are already waiting for us on January 12 and 13, while the “Jahorina” Ski Club Open Championship will be held on January 15 and 16 on the Jahorina Trail.
